Main Plot given In the evil labyrinths of Dandakaranya forest, human values are put to test. Rama’s righteousness, Lakshmana’s loyalty and Sita’s endurance reflect our own sense of values and judgment in difficult times. The story unfolds the facets of human life – the conflict and trickery, the praise, the slander and above all, the hope and the despair in the eventful forest life of exiled royals.

Stolen Hope is about extreme deception and extreme love. It is about arrogant power and deep devotion. With every twist and turn, Rama, Sita and Lakshmana find themselves robbed of whatever and whoever they valued the most.

Exploring the dynamics of human relations – between father and son, husband and wife, teacher and disciple – and the complex game of power and greed, Stolen Hope mirrors our own dilemmas in the modern world and teaches us how we must overcome them.

No. of Characters Its Ramayana, so it will be little absurd if I detail out Characters here.
Tone of writing is Straight and simple
My take on the book The story begins with Rama, Sita and Laxhman walks through the forest of Dandakaranya. From there the author narrates the encounter of the trio with the Rakshas, and the encounter with Surpanaka, leading to the abduction of sita. IT leaves the heart ache  reading about Rama’s feeling and the death of Jatayu while trying to save Sita. The book end with Rama meeting Shabari at Matanga Ashram, who would introduce Rama to Sugriv, who would help him to find his love Sita.

Ramayana itself is a great epic. I feel the author has done his justice with valuable additions and putting his style onto it. I really like the sub notes given below. It make sure that the reader gets the essence of the part explained above. It makes a great impact, and stays in the heart of the reader.

Yet another thing i like about the book is, the way it has been written, It can be read as short story or at a go. But i would suggest , reading by parts is more helpful, and so many lesson learnt can be implied on our day to day life.in  the end of the book is a clear picture of what should be a real relationship who loves and evolve together but each maintaining their own freedom and their own individuality and originality.

Now I am going to buy the first 2 parts, and waiting for the next book to arrive.

Do I recommend the book? Yes,  you can read and go on rereading. Every time , I am sure you would look into many details which would change your perspective of life.
On the other hand

my rating: 5/5.

Finally I would like to Thank the Author for sending me the signed copy. It will kept safe along with my other treasure books.

My take on the book There were many instances, where I felt that author is taking about Chetan Bhagat, may be my thoughts. or its simple that all authors have same kind of circle with happening things in life.  It made me wonder trying to sell his own story with a twist. He also bring in movie personalities and book review program.

I liked the way he tried to portray his colleagues and boss. the way they accuse him to be famous author , never leave a chance to pull his leg.

I liked the character Maya a lot. from the beginning she is the one who is determined who does what she wants. She put her family as priority and works with good ethic.

Though Maya is the one, who is idle human being, I can’t leave out Shreya. A character to be really admired. she chooses fidelity as a path to succeed her ambitions. At times you feel she is heartless , even to think about publishing her book at somebody’s deathbed.

Though it seemed like a bit of mills n boons, but could have a been lit better. feels like the author is still hesitant to write about sex.

Climax was too much of Drama, if a chance is given , this can be a good bollywood material.

The best part of the book was suspense. it was really maintained till the end. that is the only reason I think the book can become a hit.

Over all, I felt it little lacked the kick of his earlier work, which brought in so much about banking and thinks which I really didn’t know.

Do I recommend the book? Yes, for one time reading,  and for lovers who like Romance mixed with suspense.
